In general, consumption spending by Brazilian families exceeded the R $ 4,400 mark. When purchasing clothing items, the average value used for women’s clothing (R $ 59.11) was R $ 11 above male items (R $ 48) per month.
Regarding beverages, the IBGE survey pointed out that the costs with soft drinks every 30 days beat the money invested in the purchase of beers and draft beer (R $ 10.03) and ground coffee (R $ 9.92). On the other hand, in groups with severe limitations on the variety of foods, the average monthly expenditure on games and bets was around R $ 6. On average, the lowest expenditure (R $ 5.96) was seen among families with moderate food insecurity.
